I was born and raised in Las Vegas and love having deep roots in a transient town. While playing sports in high school, I experienced injuries like most of us do, and always listened to the advice of coaches and teammates regarding recovery strategies. Information was often conflicting, and I caught myself wondering, “What is the BEST way to help this get better?” I suppose that’s where my drive to understand the body began.
I attended Southern Utah University where I met my sweetheart, and we both graduated with degrees is Biology. We returned to Las Vegas and I attended the UNLV graduate program for physical therapy, finishing with a Master’s degree in 2005. I was able to return to the program later to transition to the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. UNLV is an outstanding program and has helped its graduates maintain a 100 percent pass rate on the national board exam for the past several years.
Since graduation I have worked in the outpatient orthopedic setting, which allows me to work with a wide variety of individuals and situations. It’s been my privilege to work with six moth old children, the elderly, and everything in between. I love what I do. I find being a part of someone’s recovery very rewarding.
